Converted Panel owners - rear handles 4 doors?

I have converted my 08 HHR Panel into a passenger hauler. There still is no easy way to close the rear doors. I'm thinking about hanging a leather strap from 1 bolt, or maybe looking into retro-fitting somearm rests from the regular HHR. What has anyone els done for this little problem? Any ideas or pix will be appreciated.

Most likely because they are all one piece I would venture to guess. That's what I remember seeing.

Here's a pic I found online

Chevy should have designed a handle for back doors of the panel.
One day I drove off with the door ajar and tried to open and close it from the inside by reaching back. This was impossible because there is nothing to grab.

I thougth of using the handles that are usually standard on all cars and located in the back seat next to the clothes hook on the headliner. They usually fold flat and would make a good handle. You get them to match your interior color.
