Cracked windshield

thank you mr.transport truck for letting fly a hunk of something that chipped my windshield. now i have a crack straight down the middle of it. don't worry, im a university student, i have a crap load of money to spend on replacing windshields.

anyone know what a ball park figure for what new glass for up front will cost me? i'm gonna call round tomorrow. this really does suck.

Between $500 to $800 from what I heard, depending on where you live. And word is that PPG has the best glass. Hope this helps

In a sick way its a good thing. The HHR is getting known for having cheap glass. Now you can get a good windshield without those bumps and with a tint line across the top.

Sorry it happened though, hope your deductable isn't too high.

Sorry to hear that I got my first chip in under a month and less than 3 months to have it fixed. Lucky I have full glass so no out of pocket, but from what I was told and what Deb said your looking at 500-800 to fix.
Hope you find a good place that does not charge to much

Full glass coverage means no out of pocket cash. It breaks I make a call it gets replaced bill is sent to ins company. Only cost me a couple of dollars a month. I have had 3 windshields on 2 diff cars this year fixed. Roads out here are always getting worked on and trucks always tossing rocks and junk so it pays to have it.
