Question Cross Rails

Anyone Know Where I Can Get A Cheap Set Of Cross Rails For My 07 Hhr? I Want To Be Able To Secure A Soft Roof Luggage Carrier To Them. I Already Have The Roof Rails. I Want Something That Can Be Easily Removed, Since I Will Probably Only Use Them Once. Normally I Do Not Need Extra Cargo Room. My Daughter Is Coming To Visit With 2 Children And We Are Going To The Jersey Shore. Do Not Want To Spend The $300 That Gm Wants. I Appreciate All Suggestions.
Thanks!

Have you checked Thule? Don't know if they have any to fit, but I do think they were reasonably priced.

Welcome to the site.
Have you thought about using the smaller ratcheting straps. They would wrap around the existing bars and over the soft luggage bag.
And remember, you can only put so much weight on the roof. (100lbs.)
Let us know what you end up using?

I agree that the straps might work great. That was my first thought also. Depending on the weight of the cargo bag, you could put three or four across.

No, there are none that I've found at a decent price. The cross bars almost cost more that the roof rack. Most I've seen are ones that clamp to the roof rack then have a bar that goes across. Few fit into the track provided in the rack.

I've considered buying one designed for another vehicle and cutting them to fit the HHR. I'm just waiting for some expendable income!
