Question Cutting rear spring to level out?

Has anyone tried cutting the rear spring to level out the HHR, instead of buying lowered springs??? If so let me know as my friend has a plasma cutter

HHR rear springs are wound tight on both ends, so cutting would only be a first step, then you would have to heat & wind the end correctly... Which the heat would would lose the springs integrity..

Don't cut your springs!! I found a full set of Cobalt SS/SC springs on Craigslist for 40 bucks! Although I haven't got around to putting them in yet due to I might wait till spring... NH winters are not to kind to lowered cars!! But anyways, point being, it's cheap enough to do it right!!
