Ditto here. But I know the HHR serves a great customer base as it is versatile and economic, as well as "different".

When I drive the dune buggy or bus I get thumbs up, waves or nods from more Harley riders than anyone else. Weird. I guess they respect restoration and customization work more than the average driver.

The HHR, just blank stares. My boy is always waving to other HHR drivers much to their confusion.
When I had my VW's I was amazed at how many people waved at me. Had an 02 GTI and an 88 Cabriolet.

A car salesman told us that the prices of the HHR's and other economy cars will start to go up in the next year... because of supply and demand....

Count me in as a third. I chose to test drive one when I saw an article in a car magazine. The SS looks far and away better than the other HHR's (no offense guys) and once I drove it I knew I had to have one. I never saw myself in an HHR until the SS.

Thumbs up

I'll hit 8000 miles in the morning (since may 29th) , and i've seen tons of regular hhr's , I give a thumbs up, wave , hang loose , or head nod to everyone and have never gotten a return. Even when an hhr is next to me in trafic ,they are like what's he drivin ? and i've only seen 5 ss's in nearly 4 months.

Get a 5 speed !

When I had my Grand Prix, and pulled along side another at a red light, there would usually be a race challenge. When I had my Jeep Wrangler, we'd always exchange waves (etc), as is what happens while on my motorcycle. Before I got my HHR, if I saw one a month, I could say I saw a lot of them, but now, see 5-6 daily. No waves yet, but I keep trying.
