Destination Fee
Destination Fee
Just wondering how the price goes up on the destination fees for the HHR as it gets further away from Mexico.Mine was $1,095 for Ontario maybe some one around Detroit could list theirs as my dealer is 10 miles from there.
No that is a little wrong....at least for the States.
Any particular model is exactly the same destination fee if sold in New York or Los Angeles.
The disparity was changed years ago. Previously, you could drive across a State boundry here and save several Hundred dollars....no more.
Canada MIGHT be a flat fee also....or at least by regions. See what other Canadians have paid for their HHR.

I can only talk about the US on the subject but they factor the price of the vehicle traveling from Mexico to the states into the MSRP. The destination fee is what you pay for it to travel within the US which as Snoopy stated is the same across the board and also is government mandated. I can only assume Canada would be the same.
Mine was $565.00 for the delivery of a 2006 in April of that year.
Realize, of course, the delivery contracts would be re-negotiated every year. And, with the cost of fuel escalating, MAYBE a couple of times a year.

Your wish is my command.
$ C. 1,095.00 for a 2007 HHR, same as yours.
This was a dealer transfer (horror story) so the Destination charge was to Alberta but I think snoop is right in that it is a flat rate negotiated yearly. When you do a GM computer "build and price" it doesn’t care where you are in Canada, the delivery is the same across Canada. Not fair but neither is life.
