General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

Did the dealer give you this when you bought your HHR?

We got a leather case with our LS so it is not an LT upgrade. Seems to be more of a dealer option IF they decide to give it. Of course, we also got a huge fruit basket in the mail a few days later that also has a bunch of promotional pens, pads, etc in it.

All I got was a baggie too! I just called my salesman and he said GM have stopped giving the nice covers on some models, but he said he would find me one and I could pick it up.

It is really no bid deal and many here would say "who cares". But from a marketing stand point for the buck it costs them I still say its cheesy to get a zip lock bag. Take the money you spent on the vynal sticker and plate frames, I know those prices, two frames and a sticker about $5-6 bucks. You see if I got the case I would feel tthat they did not cut any corners. I take the plate frames off and the sticker when I get home so it is money wasted. The pouch goes in my glove box, really never to be seen so it does not matter. But the impression it makes giving it to me in a bag says I but low end.Just an impression. Give the book, even have free coffee at the time of the sale and in the service area. The pennies it costs pays in spades.

I wish I had gotten something as nice as a ziploc baggie. I got a tattered, worn manilla envelope with the book in it. It also had someone elses name on it, as well as the lot code for a different car. A used, tattered, worn, recycled manilla envelope. So classy!

Mine was in a ziplock and tossed in the glove compartment--wasn't even handed to me.

I shouldn't complain, I got a great deal and they did fill the tank, wash it and give me the cargo holder:

Plastic baggie.

They gave me a 100% full tank of gas, though (a first for Chevy - usually it's 3 gallons) so I was happy.
