Difference between 06 and 09 HHR

Is there a difference in the body as far as the running boards. Will running boards fit a 2009 from a 2007?

Bodies were all the same.
Running boards will interswap. Just make sure you get all the mounting hardware from the donor car if you're putting them on one without them.

Mine doesn't have running boards and I was kind of glad of that. I put a set on my 85 Dodge panel minivan and they would sing at highway speeds and give the thing lift. I could feel the suspension lifting the faster I went. Do the GM ones do that to the HHR?
