We've mostly determined that SS does not have that.
Thanks for the reply. I wonder why that is? Assuming there is also no wire to plug one in? Or way to add one? Wonder if it's a 2.0 motor thing or a turbo thing??
I have a big agm and they need over 13.5v to charge.
Do you have a lot of aftermarket electrical load? I have a group 47 AGM, I've never had an issue with charging.
Or perhaps you have a Serpentine Belt/ tensioner problem. Or maybe a bad connection between the alternator to the starter, starter to the fuse block, or fuse block to the battery. There is what appears to be a fusible link between the alternator and starter.
I assume the SS alternator has an internal regulator, the LS/LT is a digital regulator that gets data from that thingy, the output is dependent on demand.
The operative word is cheap, stay away from cheap anything car related in this case my estimation of the next word you’ll learn is fire, as we’re talking electrical power, be safe, and don’t mess with it!

From what I understand, its not an item that needs to be expensive lol. It was a little POT with a small screen. It was a set it and forget it type of thing. I just thought it could be useful for the SS considering the setup.
I've got the noco genuis 10 charging over night and it was at 14.1 when I got up. So the 1150cca northstar is getting over 13.5v like it needs.
