Door Handle Trim?

Just finished wiping-down my new SS (a new daily activity! ),,, I noticed that the inside arm-rest/door grip recessions have the screws showing.. But it also appears there is a cut-out area and an opening for some type of retainer..

Do HHR's come with some kind of decorative insert?

Yes, all four doors should have a rubber insert in them.

From what I have seen, the 2009s have a flat rubber sheet in each door handle that curls up and can come out. The 2008 and older models have inserts with a raised edge that keeps them flat and helps them stay in much better. I dont know if you can swap them though, the new window switch location in 2009 may mean they are a different shape.

Oh boy.......got long story 'bout pull pocket liners that I could tell ya but I'm gonna spare ya...... it's just a piece of rubber that is kinda oblong that fits exactly in the recessed area that you're seein'.......if you search for the thread "reconfigured part wft" you'll find the part number that is correct (that number was supplied by CHEVYMGR ( my hero)) for fillin' the hole and makin' your HHR whole again.......
