Could you post a picture of the install ? It might help others out with the same problem.
Thanks

The popper is built into the rear door latches.

The hole is an "Access Hole" with a black plug. On some vehicles you can remove the plug and get to the screw holding the outer door handle. This way you don't have to remove the inner door panel. A panel HHR would not need this.

That's helpful on the plug if on the door side, this plug in my photo and shown in TSB was on pillar frame above center link mount.

On the built-in Popper... you're not meaning the link arm's high & low points and inertia as previously discussed. You're indicating there is a physical Popper on the latch?
Any diagrams or photos? Mechanical spring or electrical? Can the tension be adjusted tighter? Is the Popper removable, serviceable or all 1 asmb latch piece?

I called it a "popper" because everyone else did. Trying to keep it real, ya know what I mean

Its called a latch only. No popper to adjust. On a regular HHR it is called a lock. Don't know why the difference in names.

Also, yes I have seen them on door jams too, but they are still called Access Holes. It's great for paintless dent repairers.

Because on other HHRs you have handles that are used to open the door "lock" Whereas the panel does not have a Lock & latch.

Not tryin to beat a dead horse, but looking to get the whole picture.
Looked for HHR Panel latch or lock and didn't see any difference between the part for windowed / door handle latch/lock unit compared to the part for Panel latch/lock version.
Are they the same as the standard window unit less the external handle? Guess my question is if there is a mechanism that assists or pushes the door open on the panel. Curious if parts are different and if that is a possible wear out component that may be causing loss in pushing / popping door out. If it's the same as standard window version, then I'm not following where the push assist / popper is within the latch/lock.

I'm hearing all directions on this door popping, from rubber seals, link inertia, to latch... would like to get a grasp of where the assistance is being applied.
LOL.. sorry, that was kinda beating the horse again.

OK, you made me go to gmpartsgiant.com and look up parts. Turns out the checks are different and the locks are different. I can't find what A26 or A46 mean just ASSumining.
