I noticed a hole in the door when it was opened on my wife's 09. It is located at the end of the door handle. On my 10 there is a reflective adhesive disc at this location. On the other three doors on both cars there is a rubber plug. Does anyone know what is supposed to be there?

I too noticed that when I changed my door handles. More than likely it should have had a rubber plug also. I guess it just wasn't installed and reflective tape was put over the hole. That's my best guess.
Now that you brought it up it bugs me and have to get a plug for the hole.

 

In the drivers door, a small round red reflective sticker is supposed to be there.
If the outer handle has been changed or serviced then you could stop by any parts palace and get a rubber plug to fit the hole.
I used one of the plugs from a rear door , I got at a dismantling yard.

 

The reflective bit is actually a safety thing as well as a hole cover. It covers the access to the door handle bolt.

They were available from GM last time I looked.

 

My red reflective sticker has a hole punched in it... Not doing much good that way.
