Question Drive with Interior out?

Wondering with all the sensors, can you tear out the Interior panels, the seats except the drivers seat of course, the carpet, and drive a HHR without throwing a bunch of codes?

Asking because I will be gutting out my interior to do my audio and video work and was wondering if I'd be able to drive it while doing all the work, or if it needed to remain parked.

I'll be doing some pretty cusomized work thats gonna take a little time to complete, and as my daily driver I still gotta pick up the kids on certain days when the wifes at work. I want most of the side panels and carpet out, the rear seat out and the passenger seat I can quickly bolt the 2 bolts in to pick up my youngest , I only need drive 4 blocks each way on 20mph side streets in my neighborhood to the school and back, I drive and park at a dead end street and wait, she comes out and walks across the playground were I am parked, turn the car around and head straight home.

My audio barrier sound damping material is coming today and thought id start gutting out the interior this morning, but was wondering about this since I will have to drive it while working on the whole system.

Any thoughts on this anyone, or did anyone gut the interior and continue to drive it while installing your dynomat maybe?

Thanks

Only issue I can see is the headliner for the side air bags and maybe the sensor for the passenger side airbag. But it still should be safe to drive. Everything else is either under the dash or outside of the cabin.

Shouldn't be I started mine, but not driven when the whole interior was out minus the drivers seat to back it up about 3 feet

Thanks guys.

I wasn't sure with all of todays Gizzmo's reading everything if it would start goin haywire without everything in place.

I usually go for a cup of coffee in the mornings and if its nice out hit the quicky touchless car wash to get any rain drops or dust off of it.

Other than that 2 days a week I pick up my youngest from school.

Let the tear down Begin.

I had no problems with trim pieces and seats removed, although I did get a code when I pulled the passenger side bag out completely.

Thanks, good info.

I won't be pulling the airbags, just the seats the interior trim and carpet. For now, I hope.
I want to sound proof and get wires run.

I also have my underbody lights and wheel well lighting to install and run those wires .

While I got it all out, i'd like to get an '09 headliner for the better placed and added up front interior lighting. Gotta search for one and see if I can find one Locally.

Thanks
