I downloaded what appears to be a hacked together version of a FSM from this link illegal link but I cant for the life of me find the DTC flowchart info that would probably help me answer this question.
A couple weeks ago I received a CEL and a confirmed code P0496. Of course I'm due for an inspection so I did not want to clear the codes. I replaced the purge solenoid (the one on the engine) and the CEL went off on its own, but the code is still showing confirmed on the scan tool after roughly 15 starts after the CEL shutting off. All drive cycles are are showing as complete.
Does anyone have any info on how many starts it'll take for this code to disappear?

It will pass inspection if all of the tests have run. You need to find the section that discusses type A, type B and type C codes.
That particular code will clear out after 40 warm-up cycles without a re-occurance.
