Man you think like me, thats why mine is under the spare compartment.Its steel and doesnt have pressurized 92 octane running thru it. I considered remoulding the heat shield from the stock muff to cover that crossover, but my muffler master just laughed at me. The trick part of the job was how he welded a diverter inside the Y, in just the right place so the output is even, he really nailed it. Feels the same, looks the same, sounds the same, and that, besides it looks good. More SS that what the factory did. The sound is quad instead of mono.

had to flange in the glass pac where the resonator was to make it quieter for my taste flanged it in in case I wanted to change it for different sound or when it wears out sounds good very deep in stereo boost to 20 think thats right.for the stg1? should it be higher?

Thanks!!! What a great job. I guess I will just do it also. We have a portable pipe bender at work maybe this will make my job easier. I never used it before but will give it a try now. Thanks again.

I do understand the concept...

Can you elaborate on this a little more? Maybe a drawing using 'Paint'?

THE fella that did the welding made the piece it was almost round to slide in there and divide the flow considering it would rather go strait than turn he welded it in so it diverted 1/2 the flow to the right side from the back

since the flow is split, wouldnt the heat cool off faster? Your not concentrating all the heat into one pipe anymore..and without a diverter plate most of the flow would go straight anyways as said..
