gagas kids are about ready to watch dvds in head rest we have never used them and used hhr didnt come w manual. is there one on this site? thanks

The dvd would be an aftermarket install see if you can find a name on them and google it for a manual you can print om line.

Also note that GM did offer a factory DVD with screens in the back of the headrests for the HHR ($1500+ option though, ouch!). Shoot ChevyMgr a PM with your VIN and he can see if that's a factory DVD system you have. If not, then go with the advice that Lucky gave you. Best of luck!

I know the rear seat DVD's are nice and they do keep the little ones settled down, but whatever happened to playing Punch Buggy or looking for out of state plates? That thought now expressed, did you find the appropriate manual yet?

I didn't know that you could get dvd in the head rest from the factory.Or was it a dealer installed option?

According to the GM brochure that I was looking at it was a dealer-installed option for all HHR's save the SS. It ran somewwhere in the $1500 range. Of course it's also an aftermarket option as well nowadays too. Just pick your aftermarket headunit, and add as many screens as $ allows lol.
