My mother was a avid bowler. She bowled most of her life. When she went blind, from diabetes, she wanted to continue bowling. My dad and sometimes myself, would point her in the right direction and she would go for it. Other bowlers were very respectful and encouraged her to bowl. She even managed a respectable 110 average. I applaud your efforts in not letting a handicap bring you down.

I question the fact that we can't bring bad vendors, supporting or not, to everyone's attention. I agree that every effort needs to made to work things out behind the scenes but if they are this uncooperative then don't we all have a right to know?

I mostly agree with this. EXCEPT, sometimes there are people who will just start slamming you without even giving you a chance to take care of an issue.

This happened to me here recently. The member never tried contacting me, they just started a thread slamming something I sold. I could have understood it if they had tried to communicate with me through email (preferred) or PM's. THEN, if I refused to accommodate them, AND their request was reasonable, then they should have the right to make it known.

I don't know that there has ever been an issue over non-supporting vendors being discussed. I've done that about Teazer Designs and many of us have slammed dealers. I think the issue is that some have unfairly slammed supporting vendors who are paying a sizable sum to offer their products here. I still don't see it as an issue over a fair, bad assessment. But then who decides what is fair?

I agree it's not perfect. But in this case the vendor could very easliy post to contact them and it would be worked out. Then it shows the buyer not following through and doing what they should have done to begin with. If the buyer then fails to let the vendor know what the problem is, well the buyer just needs a box of tissue to wipe his eyes with. Cause the seller is doing what they can.

But if a vendor (or anyone selling something) does not follow through, I personally would like to know in case I planned on buying from them. It could be a one time thing like an illness or something (although as a seller you should stay on top of your product if at all possible). Or it could be someone that really could give a **** about the sellers he deals with. Communitcation between a beyer/seller is a two way street. If someone hits a curb, you may want to detour. I don't want to buy from deadbeat sellers, nor do I want to sell to deadbeat buyers.

EBay has a rating to show you who's good/bad. You can tell when someone is just crying cause maybe they tried to rip off a seller and you can tell when a seller is just as bad.

What's the solution?? No clue..... Not my site.

I think solman is right on, if the vendor is a supporting vendor then they have a chance to post their side of the story as well. I do understand that we don't want to turn the board into a bunch of bashing or arguments. Not sure what the solution is either.

right now i am just announcing the days it is taking to recieve my order... already decided that i am not naming names. just kind of letting the venders know that they need to understand that after a period of time buyers get flustrated waiting for their order. whether it is the vendor... mfg... or shipping. remember i resended the one post where i thought the merchant was a supporting merchants... after a side bar with one of the moderators.. we concluded that i had misread the supporting list because of similar names.

i also decide the no name names opinions stated here... i personally decided that the it works both ways for good and bad.

just showing that even when the vendor thinks things are on track , think aren t what they think and even so may have the answers... i am five plus weeks.

i was a DOD supply systems analyst for about 15 years... we tracked of date/time of order and date/time of delivery and customer receipt... i know that there is no way the vendors here can track delivery... no customer feed back for when delivered... and most likely no place for it in their data base.

so this is merily a date/time delivery notice to all on this site. glad there is discussion going. shows that there is interest... maybe some may discuss different ways to improve a little

thnx for the input

you all will be the second to know when my parts arrive, and then the vendor will know.
