cool. i thought they only came on ones w/o RB.

i have the manual with me here at work, reading through it, and ive answered most of my other questions, but the one thing i cant figure out is the headlights.

do they ALWAYS have to stay on auto, no matter what? i figured out the DIC thing to disable the lights from coming on when i unlock the doors, but everytime i start the car, the headlights come on no matter what. normally, on any other car ive had, you can just put the switch to off, and turn it on when i want. this switch wont let you leave it in the off position.

the reason they come on everytime is becasue my windshield is tinted with 5%, so it must trick the sensor everytime i start the car LOL.

so basically, everytime during the day i drive anywhere, i have to hit the switch to off (then it reverts back to the "auto" position) and the dash then tells me "auto lights off". then i have to hit the info button everytime, if i want my milage, etc to be displayed again.

anyway to just disable auto lights, and at night, i can manually turn on my headlights?

There has been no way reported to disable the auto headlights permanently.

Maybe pull a fuse? I believe there are 3 different fuses for the different brightness of the headlights.

crap

so depending on the light outside, the headlights will light up 3 different brightness levels?

will adding aftermarket HID bulbs/ballasts mess with that?

sorry for all the questions haha

The 3 levels of the light output are DRL/Low Beam/High Beam.

Look for fuse 31 in the engine compartment fuse block. (Assuming 2009 and 2010 are the same.)

Follow up.........

Seems there are reports of disabling the DRLs.

There's a pretty lengthy thread given to this subject, the last page might be a good place to start reading............
