Fitting a big TV

Just wondering what is the biggest TV (LCD or Plasma) that can fit in an HHR, with or without packaging? Will a 50" inch in the original box fit in the back?
Thanks in advance for you replies!

I had a 52" LCD in the back of mine. It only fit without the box. A 42" tv fit in the back, in the box.

Brought home a 52-inch DLP in mine a couple years ago. It had to be removed from the box but fit.

The wife and I brought home a Samsung 52 inch, in the box. No room to spare on either side.

Thanks for the answers! I appreciate knowing I should be good to go with a 50". That is, if I can somehow convince the better half that it was a necessary purchase.

50"" in the box fit with 1"" to spare both sides back seats down. Plasma laid down not a problem, let stand upright for a day before turning on. 1 year later going strong.
