Foot Pain
I have a similar problem on road trips. But it's not my heel but my right hamstring gets cramped up. If it's just me and someone riding shotgun, I can adjust the seat for the sweet spot. But if I've got people in the back I've got to move the seat a litle bit forward and that 's enough to make it hard to get comfortable. The issue can be alleviated somewhat if I use cruise control.
Never noticed the pain when driving any car, BUT......
You PROBABLY have, in Latin "doctor's" terms, PLANTAR FACIITIS. Been there and done that. For me, nothing worked...exercises, anti-inflamatories, physical therapy, orthotics. Finally had to have minor surgery because I waited to long to have it corrected.
Good Luck

insoles
i have been in many accidents on a motorcycle and other injuries , i also inherited bursitis/arthritis. so i have lots of leg /foot/hip pain. i saw some insoles on tv. so i went to threir store. it is called " the good feet store ". they fitted me for some insoles. it definatly was the best $60 i have EVER spent. they claim that they have seen people come in with a cane and walk out without it. i believe it. they can do a test with you standing without the insoles and easily push you off balance. then you stand in the insoles that they have recomended for you and you cannot be pushed off balance. i still hurt , but not near as bad.i still use the same ones i bought about 10 years ago. they recomend to replace them , but i can not see where they have worn out.
well i work at walmart and on my feet alot and have to rock back and forth on my heel and it causes to hurt but i think its that, and yea i've found the good spot now and it don't hurt much unless i'm getting off work
I get pain in my left foot, because the dead pedal is way too close for me. And there is not enough room in the foot well to fit my left foot where the brake pedal is. So after a while, it gets uncomfortable for me. Sometimes I'll put a small pillow under my left thigh to lift the pressure off the lower leg because it is resting on the dead pedal.
