You can get the little plastic rivits from any autoparts store, and paint them to match the color of your car. It doesnt look too bad like that-better than having the whole plate there if you dont need it.

By the way, NY requires the front plate, so I relocated it to under the bumper.

The state of Florida does not require a plate in front (thankfully), which is why yours came without.

A front plate isn't required in Arizona either but there was a bracket for it in the back, along with the floor mats and cargo net.

We're in Arizona, and we have personalized plates, so we need to get the bracket attached to the front, Chevy wanted ten dollars for it and the salesman said he'd kick in half, so we got one, now just need to drill holes or do whatever it is to attach it.

We have to say that some things seem like such small things, it's a pity Chevy can't put these things on, like the bracket and mudd flaps, those should just come standard with the car, which is another thing we've gotten to put on ourselves.

If they don't order a tag bracket, it does not come with them. But you would think that if the state requires it...... It would be ordered with one. If you bought used, the dealer should have devised a mounting method I would think.

Glad I don't have to worry about one.

California now requires that a car be sold with one, but I've still seen people wangle their way around it. I have a front plate but it's one I bought in Vegas at Margaritaville, haha, it says "License to Chill". So far, no ticket...but it's coming, I know it. Only $15... worth it.

But the front plate is where I post my allegiance to college football teams! Since I'm both a Florida and Florida State fan, I usually put one plate on the front and purchase a school license plate of the other on the back. Since the sandstone color is close to gold, I figured it was time to switch back to FSU on the back and put a proud Gator on the front. I know the auto parts stores sell plate frames. I wasn't sure just any one would fit the HHR.
