About the only thing I would like to see is a telescoping steering wheel. I am 6'3" and I do recline a bit, but by the time I get the head room and all those legs in there, the steering wheel is just a bit too far away.

seriously...when I go to Maine every year that is just about the only car I see with plates from any of the Northeastern U.S. states...

Cool

I am 6' 2", and I have my seat all the way down & leaned back, & I have a TON of room in there. My head is nowhere near the roof, there is at least 1 1/2 feet above my head. But I am not one to enjoy driving in an upright position, people always make comments about the way I sit when I drive. I guess I just like bein' comfortable behind the wheel, and my HHR certainly is comfortable!

Yes, a telescoping steering wheel would be great. But it's not available in most cars, is it? I've only seen it in a Corvette.

Almost 2 feet smaller turning cirlcle than the similar sized PT cruiser. HHR has almost 25% more rear hip room too!

Used to see telescoping columns on a lot of cars in the mainstream price range, not just expensive cars like the 'vette.

Could be the addition of airbags made them more complicated and expensive to build from a safety standpoint.

I'm 6' and have no problem with head room. Like others I set the seat down, and have a slight incline. As far as a locking gas cap, at first I thought it would be nice, but with gas prices, I rather have it taken without damage to my car.

What I like
the style
turning radius
cargo room (fit both my Bernese Mountain dogs comfortable when going to the park)
how the passanger seat folds foward
how the controlls are easily in reach, radio, windows etc.
and of course the great gas milage

We've put about 2500 miles on the HHR and love it. My only 2 gripes are:

1) I wish it didn't have the 'door lock pull' mounted on top of the window seal. It's hell in drive throughs.

2) I wish it had center console storeage with usable cup holders.
