Gettin a little happier, yessir

OK, Filled up the saturday before Easter Sunday. 1st freeway trip that was about 100 miles round trip. Then the rest of the days up until last night, I put 260 miles on the tripmeter. Filled up with 13.5 gallons. Looks like I got a little better than 19.2 MPG. Better yes but now that I have the 2000 miles on it, I need to decide on a dealership to bring it to for a check up. Strange, when I fill up my miles til empty always seems to be 267.

In California - is the fuel blend 90% gasoline and 10% ethanol? Or are the tree huggers insisting on a higher ethanol content? That'll knock the mpg down somewhat...
I have an LS with the 2.2L and 5-speed and I get 24 MPG around town and about 32 MPG on the highway. Your 2LT should be doing better than 19.2 MPG for sure, even if the ethanol percentage in CA is higher.

I believe we're at about 6% ethanol right now with move to 10% probably coming soon.

The ethanol is there to replace MTBE as an oxygenator.

Don, I *rarely* show above 298 for miles left after a fill-up. Now, this week I did have drives on the highway similar to yours, so I have noticed more miles listed on Blackie--but I won't fill up 'till Sunday to see what the filled tank says this time.

Hoping to see at least 350!

Oh yeah--I just hit over 4K.
