I did a search and didn't find anything; maybe I missed them...Is this forum that restrictive about conversation? I hope not, I'm from America (that goes against what I believe in).

They should be rescued but only with the Gov't overseeing it. I do agree a few over paid CEO's should be canned as well. The auto Companies have gotten Gov't help before and basically nobody knows what they did with the money. The industry has been screwed for the last 20-30yr's.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Gov't step in and tell UAW is enough. The demands they keep pushing are insane and part the reason the Big 3 are in the state there in.
If they were to fail. The economy would take a dive even further and at this point we have to stop the trickle effect at some point.

I fail to see how government supervision will do anything but make the company worse. What profitable government entity are we using to make the assumption that they can turn this thing around?
If we are going to give them money, let them sort out how they need to spend it. The CEO at least understands the company exists to make money, not provide jobs for voters.

AIG own Dodd and Frank.
I would not say restrictive, but they are just a littel tighter on things here than most.
Also there are a few here that just poke sharp stick to provoke too. I don't think it is to be restrictive as much as it is to not have to deal with a somewhat non direct HHR related thing.
Might check out CheersandGears.com and they are a faily informed GM group with only a few that have no clue. They can and will cover some very important and good points the news and web sites will not tell you.

Other members don't care for it either, judging by the reports that are submitted.
