bassbase...I'm thinking the same thing, I can get some For $350 with tires but not quite sure I want gun metal instead of bright aluminum. Post pics when u get them, I wanted to see what they would look like on black.

Do you have the High Polished 17's on your? If so I think it will look very sharp with them once you lower it. I was going to put a set of those on mine, but then decided to get a set of Solstice wheels.

I know the stock shocks are ok after the drop, but should I get new ones right away for a better ride, stability, any other reason I need them?

The SS shocks/struts are noticeably better in performance when pushing it, I wouldnt get them for just driving around town, judge for yourself if the cost is worth it for you. I chose some used, but thats just me being miserly.

Got my springs and havnt even opened the box, this cold weather stinks. Got a big garage to do it in but right now it's in my attached garage and the snow is deep. Guess I will wait till snow melts.

I ran out to my gar. to get something for my wife, then I got anxious and had to start jacking. I ended up finishing the back in about 45-1 hour total, u guys were right! Very simple job...thanks to ng8650 makes the job a lot easier when you know what to expect.
Now..those springs felt awfully soft...is it going to squat quite a bit when just hauling passengers? I noticed the springs compressing quite a bit when I set it down, like at least 3 of the coils at the top contacted each other. It's sitting as it should, I just hope I don't bottom out the bump stops which I did cut. Any feed back on load range capabilities?

That sounds right. They may look like they are soft because of the compressed look when lowering but they are not. If you really looked at them the have fewer coils compared to the stock but the diameter of the coil is bigger to compesate. They will be a stiffer ride and will settle about another 1/4" to 3/4" lower after a while
The only Time I ever bottomed out was when I hit a big pothole once. Other than that I have never had a problem huling people of equipment.
