Got my HHR!

Last week I made the decision to buy an HHR. I browsed a couple of webpages and forums and did my research. I decided to go to the dealer on Saturday and buy it. They had to get my HHR from another So Cal dealer because they did not have what I wanted. Well today, Monday, it came in !

Black, 2LT, Grey Leather, Auto, 17" rims, spoiler, running boards etc. I love it ! Future mods, de-badge, Limo-tint, lower, and 18 or 20" rims. I'm o.k. with the stock audio, for now. I do need to set up Sirius sat. radio. I'll probably upgrade to the new S-50.

I'm pretty busy right now with work, college, family, so I'm in no rush. But slowly but surely my HHR will be customized!

Later

Wow. Got it loaded. I wouldn't go any higher than 18" rims. To me 20" would be just a little much for the HHR. Congrats!

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the 18's. I think the 20's would rob too much power from the 4 banger...

BRAVO! Welcome to the club! Mine is purple 2lt with all the options they have with the exception of roof rack, xm, and spoiler. I agree also about the 20's.

Mine finally got to the dealer Fri., 2/3 and picked up Sat. It was ordered on 11/8.

Lovin' it!!

2LT, Dark Silver Metallic, Cashmere leather, 5-speed, sunroof, running boards and XM. I have the Gold-Line springs to put on when I get a chance. American Racing Casino 18" rims and tires are on the way. First thing I did was to remove the GM chicklets on the sides. Got my Valentine 1 radar detector hard wired in over the weekend.

Also, some have talked about other horns. I have a '58 Mercedes horn that was first put into a '68 Firebird (too long of a story, but funny) and in every car since. It fit into the space the OEM horn was under the left headlight. I drilled one hole in a bracket off the main frame to mount. Just clipped the factory plug and wired it up. Works fine (some had concerns about current draw, etc.), sounds great (loud and cool!).

The first thing I want to do to my ride is debadge it. How did you remove the "chicklets" and was it difficult?

Pull them off and clean up the tape thats left stuck to the paint. Check out this thread for a little better description. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...6&page=2&pp=10
