New hhr owner, 2006 blue 56k love the car, hate the under the hips cup holders. Would like to know have cup holders/cell phone holders on both sides of the dash mounted 4 way switch. And right above the switch I have two round posts , about 1/4 inch high by 3/16 in diameter with a notch on top of each post. Anyboby know what these are for? Did someone have cup holders or tray that hung on these posts? Thought there were factory, but have not seem them on any replacement dash or gallery pictures. Oh the mysteries of a used car!
Any one have a solution to cup holders on the dash? Vent clip one worked for a short time till my wife wanted to see how strong itwas, and it wasn't. May have to build my own.

As much as I want to see your cup holder mod. Pay attention to your local "Distracted Driving " laws. I recently read that some state (Can't remember which one) is pushing to make even eating and drinking behind the wheel an offense.
