Grab Rails
I have been into the driver's side A-pillar and there is the speaker wire and the side curtain airbag wiring there.
I would expect the passenger side airbag wiring to be in the passenger A-pillar. However, from my inspection of the driver's side I think any wiring would be very easy to miss while installing any grab handles.

If you open the glovebox and reach in and up, I'm pretty sure there's space to put in something to reinforce a mounting plate and put a grab bar on the passenger dash. Something similar to what a Jeep Wrangler has.
I haven't had time to explore it further.

I am sure with the speed and force of a deploying airbag (hope that never happens to any one) would end up causing you more damage in an impact by shattering your arm and/or forcing your hand and arm into your face-fracturing that. Air bags work best when there are no projectiles between you and it. That is why I keep my mother in law in the back seat!
