Happy New Year!

Guys!
Happy New Year!
In Yekaterinburg, he will come after 6 minutes. Next to me a glass of champagne. President Medvedev has started his New Year's televised address.
Only a few minutes.
I wish you all happiness, good health, success in everything!
Good luck!

He doesn't mean "May" as in the month. It's like saying "He hopes 2011 will bring you happiness and good health." That's funny, though. I could see how you might think that.

So sorry for the confusion geg, some words just don't translate as well as others. Thanks to my wife I'm slowly learning Russian, so maybe soon I can converse with you in a common tongue.

She's French geg, but she is fluent in English, Russian, German, and Polish. When she is angry there are many choices for her to swear in.

amazed! cool! How can you know so much?
I'm told this to my woman and son. They are also surprised.
Tell her, Mike - it's a wonderful woman. Great respect.

She is an amazing woman geg, and she sends her thanks for the great compliment. Since I'm fluent in Polish, French, and Japanese we can have conversations without others knowing what we are saying. That can have great advantages when there are others intent on listening in.
