Is it hard to get to the Onstar VCIM?
I'm thinking about getting one of those modules that you can plug into the VCIM to give you bluetooth through the onstar module. Looks like the VCIM is buried beneath the right rear quarter panel. Is it difficult to pull out the interior pieces to get to it? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but this is basically the same question, and the OP didn't mention whether his was a panel or not.
I plan on doing this soon myself, but I have a panel, and besides the cargo tie down, I have some sort of weird screw heads where the "Cargo shelf" goes. Also, the plastic panel seems to be all one piece and goes all the way to the rear door and includes the upper panel marked "airbag" although I don't believe there is an airbag in there since there is no rear seat. They probably use the same panel for the other styles that have passenger seats.
But I'm not sure what to take apart to get to it.

A lot of what you need to know is in my original thread

Looks pretty simple to install, but if you want to keep onstar functionality it's not for you. It's really designed to replace your VCIM.
