Headlight adjustment

I have lowered my car and need to lower that beam of the headlights due to the new angle os the car. How is this done?

Edit: See Captain Howdy's post below. My previous instructions were for replacing the headlamp...I stand corrected.

Slow down a bit Deb. You don't have to take the lights out to adjust them or go throught the wheel well. Under your hood located by the lights you will see a 6 mm plastic hex screw. That's your headlight adjustment bolt. If you turn it clockwise it raise the beam and if you turn it counterclockwise it will lower the beam.

Thanks Cap and others! Is there a rule of thumb for adjustment, how do I know that I have it right?

Page 5-38 to page 5-40 of your owners manual explains the proper way to do it.

The info on this website is just amazing. Search and you shall find what you need to know.

Cost to do Headlight Adjustment at a local Chevy Dealer ($60.00 +/-) (That is if you still have a local dealership)

Being part of ChevyHHR.net .... PRICELESS
