You're being silly. We've both demonstrated at least a basic understanding of electricity in this exchange. The question was was whether testing was necessary. Testing is a tenet of design engineering. The need to test does not indicate incompetence. Quite the contrary, while testing does not unmask all flaws, failure to adequately test has led to some epic disasters with stuff designed by people smarter that either of us.
