Help! There is White Sticky Goo on my HHR!

While washing her today, I saw a bunch of white lines in the wheel well from something sticky--almost tar-like. It did not come off easily. There is also some on the underside of the back panel...anyone have great thoughts on what I can use to get it off?

If it's not on a visible part of the paint you could try Goof Off, Goof Off 2, or Goof Off Goo remover. I don't know that I would trust Goof Off on a visible area though.

Thanks, Cap, I will try it.

Either you have turned over a new leaf or you must really be jocking for this mod position. I figured with a topic header that included "white goo", I was in for something...

You got me. That was my first though but that would be on the inside of your HHR I would hope.

My 'ol man uses WD-40 to remove goo too!
Be careful while scrubbing not to have any abrasive material in your cleaning cloth (or what ever you are using), we don't wan't you to scratch that beautiful car now!

Don't you hate it when people throw gum in the streets.

I don't know what it is, but it aint gum...there is way too much of it. It is all over my front and back wheel wells. Too thick and substantial to be paint...all I do know is I want it gone off of my baby!
