Hhr code po756
Hhr code po756
I purchase my first HHR in June 2022. My godson has a 2010 HHR that has the PO700 code with the PO756 secondary code. I have read prior threads about removal and replacing the b solenoid. I am capable and ready for the task.
I just drained the trans fluid and it is dark. What are the chances that just new fluid will fix the problem?

That’s what I am thinking. Is the PO756 code usually a remove and replace parts? Should the valve body be removed and cleaned? Should I just remove and replace with used?

It’s a common problem for transmissions that are neglected, a fluid and filter change may resolve the problem, however that’s really just hoping and praying. It could be a wiring problem inside the transmission. The solenoid maybe burnt out.

my suggestion is to open the side of the transmission and replace all the shift solenoids and the TCC while you’re in there.
if the fluid smells like burnt clutches, then yes get a good used transmission with torque converter

Reason for asking is that the on I bought in June 2023 just hit a deer. It has 120000 miles and is a 2009. I am thinking that if I am removing the trany cover on the side I am 75% to pulling the whole thing out. Looking for your thoughts.
This is the deer.
