Did not really smell burnt. The car was slipping in 1st gear only. Then it went into limp mode. When I picked it up from him it slipped in first but drove freeway 50 min up to 75 no issues. Just wondering about your thoughts if it is junk or worth the parts.

The parts to fix the 2009 aren’t as much as you’d think, a hood , grille, headlight and fender, maybe a condenser and radiator. Is the rad cradle bent?

Yes oldblue it is bent in. Seeing what insurance will do but was my thought also to repair. That’s why I did not want to use the trany if you thought parts and a good valve body cleaning would work. I know it’s most likely worth a try. Seems so many just change the parts then have new codes appear. I have not seen anyone reference cleaning the valve bodies? Have you?

Thanks your the best oldblue. Just read the thread you sent. I read Steve’s first one on his 200k car solenoid change. He does a great job with pictures and I am glad you got to work with him. There is snow coming in Minnesota to night so I will have to get some sleep because I plow. Also ordered the solenoids so they will be here Monday. Will check in when I get started. Thanks for your help.

It has been a while waiting for parts. I ordered the ones old blue suggested and they came twice with used solenoids. So I ordered from rock. Can anyone tell me the torque for the side cover bolts?
