bought the fall edition, wanted either the summit white or the sunburst orange, but my dealership had neither. Infact all they had was 3 fall editions(2 with leather, 1 with cloth), 2 black LS, 2 Dark Silver. Not much selection huh? happy with my fall edition though. Black is difficult to keep clean, but with the options on my HHR customizing is easy.

I let my wife pick the color combination, (golden teal metalic/ cashmere leather interior) can't wait until it comes in.
I got to choose all the options.

was kind of tough

1st choice was Silverstone, 2nd choices were Dk. Silver & Spring Ed. (Cap Frost).. I liked the Cap frost, but that black interior with a toddler... ouch! Would have been cool with the tan leather.
Liked the brighter blue, but since they didn't have it... I guess it was not really an option, there was one 06 New, still on a lot, but did not have the options I Needed, well... wanted
Liked the Golden Teal, but was afraid in a few years it would be dated Also, I Kinda Liked the Amethyst... but hubby didn't, thought it was too girly for him I guess??

Since our last several cars were white, that wasn't really in the running, Black, well, same thing, had that, hard to keep up on, Don't get me wrong White & Black look good, esp, when clean.. in fact we are getting ready to do a restoration on our 56 Caddy... back to original... Black... That's allot of car to keep clean!

It really came down to options, since there were several colors we would have & did consider.... But I must say We saw the Dk. Silver & with the Chrome, It Struck us BOTH & it had my must get options, plus some, So that's what we got & I am loving it

I looked at the Orange (SOM) wasn't sure about the color, thought I would have liked blue but the SOM grew on me. I think it's the perfect color for the body style. Ever since the superbowl commercial people point/look at it. It's kinda funny.

Had to be Sunburst Orange! The car looks good in any color actually, but for me it HAD to be orange. Nothing else would do and I would have waited for a special order or gone out of town if necessary. No regrets at all as I love it even more than the day I brought it home.

Can not belive I never seen this thread. Anyway

I wanted Blue or the Red, the wife wanted Majestic Amethyst Metallic. I did not like the idea based off the photos on Chevy.com

After I seen it in person I was sold. If I was getting a car that stands out on its own I was going to get a color that made it stand out even more.
Now that GM stopped making the color I am glad I got my Majestic Amethyst

I got black, and I have mixed feelings about it. I was limited to what the dealer had, no time to wait for a special order since I was in a rental car, post-accident.

I really liked the blue, but my previous four cars have been blue, so I decided to go with something else. Black looked so sophisticated! It made the car look more retro. I think if there had been an LS automatic in Sunburst Orange on the lot, I would have gone with that.

I don't even try to keep The Hearse clean. Rain, slush, mud, cats leaving muddy pawprints on the hood and roof . . . all adds to its personality. I'll wash it about once a week, whether it needs it or not.

I started wanting every color that the HHR came in

Seriously..when I first started looking it was either going to be Silverstone or the Orange...the silver because it is such a classy color and always looks clean or the Orange because it was such a sharp looking color that is an eye grabber.......was having a hell of a time finding either one that had the options that I wanted...then one day I took a look at the Golden Teal which I had dismissed partly because some of the negative opinions about this color I have seen displayed here (not that there is anything wrong with that, it is a free country to voice your opinion ) There were some other colors that I briefly entertained but passed on...if the Daytona Blue was available for the 07's that may have been hard to pass up

I saw some pics that stuns posted in the Golden Teal pic section and that golden shimmer blew me away! I showed a pic to my wife and she proclaimed "that is the color" Went on a search and was negotiating with dealers to install running boards when the HHR I own popped onto the scene. I was really wanting the ebony interior and was planning on cloth. Just for giggles I started to haggle with the dealer on this HHR to see what kind of money I was looking at. After a couple of standoffs and 16K later (MSRP 21195) it was in my driveway.

Just waiting for a sunny day so I can see that brilliant golden shimmer again. Han't stopped raining since I bought the car lol. Gonna treat it to a wash and a nice "ICE" polish job I'm liking having a 1 year color also
