Window button placement, of course, because I can't close both fronts at once without some kind of Tai Chi move.
But far and away my #1 pet peeve (insert drumroll here): I can't keep the back of the M****F**** clean for even 1 hour!
Otherwise, LOVE LOVE LOVE the car.

I voted "other". I don't like the look of the plastic on the dash. I'm not talking about the plastic around the stereo controls, but the actual dash. It has a sheen to it that I find distracting. To ad to my frustration, I don't care for any of the dash cover products that I have seen so far. Who want's a big chunk of carpet on their dash? IMHO it looks like someone ripped up a peice from the floor boards and dropped it no the dash. Even the best dash covers look ghetto to me.

I may try to find some vynil, or better yet, leather and cover the dash with that.

Well, I guess I don't really have any pet peeves about the HHR. Because if I did, I would not have bought it. So why have a thread like this if you own one and going to complain.

Cool peeves

Fixed the door locks with smoothy replacements. Do wish I'd got running boords, dont like window controls!

I don't look at it as complaining so much as providing feedback. I love my HHR so far. It is the first car that I have owned in a VERY long time that I will go out to the garage just to look at. I'd say the last car I owned that provoked that much emotion was a 1980 280Z that I owned in the early '90s.

Is the car perfect? No! I have things that I would like to change. If I didn't feel so passionately about this car, I would just deal with the dash. But I am passionate about it. So, I want to make it as perfect for ME as possible. I plan on keeping this car for a long time!

Have to agree with you on that. Like said a few back, there is no one perfect car for everyone. To have the perfect car build for you would deffinatly cost a bundle. If I hit the Power Ball lottery, I would but a few more HHRs.
And the one car I have always dreamed of owning, Porsche turbo Carrera

Driving my HHR for the first time last nite, I noticed this also.

I'll add another to the list, it's too bright inside at nite. Is there anyway to turn off the headliner led?
