I have a base 2.2 with a five speed. I have no problem accelerating, uphill, downhill, level or getting to highway speed. Maybe the five speed makes the difference.

I've got an '08' LT1, 5 speed 2.2, with the GMPP air box and performance exhaust, and have no problems at all with power. I love accelerating on to the freeway with this set up, especially in 4th gear, if I'm in 5th gear and need to pass, I just pop it back in 4th, and it flies. 5 speeds rule!

I can understand the point of this post. Coming from a supercharged Grand Prix that will run 13's I am taking a step down by quite a bit going to a 2.2.

I've had my 2LT 2.4 for three weeks now. I noticed today how you can toggle through the Info settings and ... it said I averaged 24 mph so I guess speed isn't important to me; however, it zips right up there when I DO want to accelerate (for three blocks or so)!

BTW, I live 1.5 miles from work; there are two traffic lights and I haven't taken a cruise in it yet (always working right now). I figure I'll get it up to 60 or so by end of summer. It is a zippy puppy so I can only imagine an SS!

I have driven all the models amd years and am happy with my Trifecta tuned 2.4, but a Trifecta Tuned SS would be great!!!!
