HHR Replacement?

If this is the direction that they are going, count me in! IMO, you can see some of the HHR lines (only sharper) in the pics

Not very retro looking. The retro look was one of the big draws to the HHR, at least it was for me.

Thumbs down no thank you.

Looks just like the new Chevy Orlando & has no special style just like the Chevy Orlando. No thank you. I'll keep my HHR(s).

THis is not really the HHR replacment. It is based on the Orlando that is the HHR replacment. It just has better Aero and shorter than the Orlando for less weight.

GM is going to leverage the Volt drive line out and this is only the second step. We will see more of this with other lines in the future.

You will see this pretty much as it is in the future with only a few minor changes.

It is not retro and not intended to be retro. They are planning on selling this world wide.

Even as popular as the HHR is here it only has a few rare fans overseas. Many do not understand retro let alone what a 1938 Suburban is.

While one of these will never see my garage it will sell very well in a global persepective. Most new GM cars will no longer be just North American market cars. They will be shared world wide. Only the drive lines and suspension tuning will be different and some changes to the bumper based on market.

Retro for the most is dying out with most cars that embraced it. Even the Beetle is getting a revamp with a roof chop and looks more like a low buck Audi TT.

With the new Cafe the goverment has forced on us there will be a lot of changes coming after 2016/ some good and many that will make you spitting mad.

Remember that when you Vote.

I have always hoped that GM would keep the retro line coming. Maybe a 50-54 composite, then a 55-56 and then the 57 to cap it off.

When all the vehicles look the same, there is no brand recognition.

No distinguishing styling qualities. Chevy has the Traverse, Equinox, and maybe in the future, the MPV5. It's the same styling in large, medium and small. The only thing that this vehicle has in common with our beloved HHR is functionality. Otherwise, it'll blend in with the rest of the modern automotive appliances.
