Whether one thinks its ugly or not, it just doesn't have the same character as the HHR. I'm sure its going to be a decent, functional and comfortable small car. I may even end up owning one at some point. But it'll never turn heads.

Well I see the Orlando made another debut in the detroit auto show. There is still no word if GM plans to produce it in the USA, but they are definately show-casing it here. If it makes its way here in a few years I may be tempted to replace my 07 hhr, which now has 30k miles on it already.

GM announced they will produce it as a 2011.

They merged my original post into this one.

The Olando is now set for the American market in 2011. GM is going to move ahead with this and the Chevy Beat [Spark] too per Autblogs GM press release.

The Orlando was at Detroit to anounce the change to sell it here. The changes are coming often and quick for GM and more are to come.

Really, Will it have the turbodiesel engine in the US? Do you have a link?

That I stated in my original thread till someone got carried away and merged it into this one.

It is a done deal that this vehicle is coming but we are still open on if the HHR will remain or not as GM has not stated.

Odds are good the HHR mayt be replaced as GM has too many models now and don't want to overlap too many vehicles.

But GM also has had sales of 100,000 HHRs for 3 years and do they want to risk losing some of those?

You've stated that. Don't worry your post is still intact:

It is not clear at this point if it will effect the future of the HHR or not.

With the money problems and too many models this could be the end of our little SUV.

IF I were GM I would use some caution as the HHR for 3 years straight has sold 100,000 units and you don't want to mess that up with sales dropping everywhere.
