Yea it's important to me. My wife will be a part time driver of this thing, and after 2 run in's with drunk drivers, one head on, I want as many airbags as possible.

Talked to another dealer, and they said they'd try to order with Enhanced Safety Package, couldn't guarantee it would stick, but said I'd have to take vehicle no matter how it came in. I told them not to bother. Will call first one and see if I can just order with Side Airbags as an option.

Maybe I'm just strange, but I want to make sure whatever i drive has all the equipment possible to protect me and my family. Don't like going to visit my wife in the hospital after she's been hit by a drunk driver.

From what Ive seen, different dealers order different configurations. Try another dealer. A vehicle with all of the airbags is uncommon, but they must be out there somewhere.

I wouldn't buy any vehicle without that package.
The only vehicles I drive without that safety stuff are my antique Allis-Chalmers tractors.

It now shows up as an option on www.chevy.com when you build a 1LT.

The problem is Chevy says you can't get the Shadow with the Enhanced Safety Package. No dealer is willing to try an override. I know it's been done before. A friend of mine did it for a Monte Carlo. Took him several trips before he found a dealer willing to do it, but he bought the car from them. And my wife got an override on her S-10 she ordered a while ago. So far all I get is, GM says you can't get the Enhanced Safety Package with the Shadow Package. I say 'Thanks' and walk out. Not sure if I wanna plunk down 20g's for an automobile and not have what I want. I know to some it's not alot of money, but it is to me.

It's quite frustrating.

Maybe I can get the Black Granite without the Shadow Edition. If you go by Chevy's website anyhow. They added the Black Granite to the color choices for the 1LT and 2LT and it isn't making you select the Shadow Edition?

According to local dealer here, Black Granite is available on special ordered 1LT and 2LT HHRs. Only with ebony interior.
