Its considered a light duty truck. An "A truck" to be exact.

Chevy called it a Passenger Car (it's under "Cars" and "SUV's" on their website) as does my insurance company and the Massachusetts RMV. The salesman at the dealership was a bit confused.

I guess it depends on the insurance company. My insurance categorizes it as a wagon. I can live with it being considered a sport wagon.

GM service manual calls it an "A truck", "A car" is the Cobalt.
