Yes if you remove the rear headrest. Push the button and pull up. In fact I leave mine out unless someone is going to sit back there. They snap in and out in seconds. It makes seeing out the rear window much easier.

The stop light issue is easy to solve just don't pull up so far. In a short time you get in the habit.

I will second the telescopic wheel. If they can put it in the Malibu they could at least have made it an option here. I would like to move the seat back for my legs but I do not like the out reach as much.

I'm 6'2" here, and I have no issues with head room either. Lights can require some craning to see up on occasion. I am however, rarely first in line at a light, so this isn't much of an issue to me.

I'm 6'2 and it's plenty of room for me, would be better if I wasn't a lard ass but I'm working on that little problem.

6'5", long legs here. I won't lie, it's cramped, but no more than any other car in it's class. I test drove a bunch of cars, and the HHR was good or better than most. I would still love another 2-3" of leg room though..... And if anyone knows if this is possible, please chime in b/c I'd do it in a heartbeat...

With my Ford compact car, I unbolted the seat from the sliding track frame. I drilled new holes in the seat frame rails and remounted it to the track frame using the same bolts. I gained two extra inches and it made all the difference. Wonder if a similar procedure is possible for the HHR?

Stick on prism for windshield will resolve limited view, got mine at HHR Boutique. I wish I could set rear seat back a few inches. Maybe the Grandkids would stop using the seat back for a footrest. They make me appreciate all of the interior plastic..

I'm 6'5 and have a sunroof and would get it without it if I had to do it all over again but its not bad at all. Its tough fitting into almost any car and the HHR is pretty comfortable for being a smaller size car.

wow...this is the exact thread I was going to ask a question about...I am going to test drive at least one 08 SS(5spd) on Thursday, it does not have a sunroof, the other I might go test drive one that has a sunroof. I am 6'5"(34" inseam) and 280lbs, I drive my dads Jetta and moms '09 Focus without any problems..I have driven some HHRs but it was several years ago for a very short distance(across a parking lot), Am I going to be comfortable in a SS as a main vehicle? 30 mile commute to work 1 way? long distance? I fold up pretty well, just thought I would ask opinions of some owners. Thank you in advance

I think you will be fine. My son is 6'5" but he did comment about the lack of headroom in the HHRs we looked at with sunroofs.

I could handle it but I am glad I don't have one now.

Keep in mind, the SS and LS/LT seats are different. I have an SS. I've been in the SS for 3 hours straight and I did need to get out and stretch but my leg and headroom where fine during the drive.

Give it a try! Get it out on the streets and do a bunch of stop lights so you get a sense of your view. I took out my rear headrests to get a better rear view and it's fine now.

I'm only 200lbs so my biggest issue is no "natural" padding in the seat. I depend on the seat cushions!
