Don't lose any sleep over it dude...I have had my '06 HHR for 1 year + now, & I haven't had this trouble yet...maybe it is sporadic?!?

Yup, Same trouble I had with my Ford Sho, GMC Safari, Plymouth Voyager , Saturn L300 wagon, and HHR. Seems most new cars simply break the brakes.

Not just domestics either. My friends have had repeat rotor trouble with their Hondas, Toyotas, and VWs too. A lot of soft easily warped metal being used in these rotors, or we all just stop real fast and make'em too hot to quick.

Had my HHR for a yr now. Still loving the gas savings. Was goinh to get another mini van, but even a decent used one cost. For a Few Dollars More, (sounds like a Clint Eastwood movie?) I got a new vehicle with no regrets.

I have had no probs with the rotors on mine, or most of the other things people have mentioned. Like I read by someone else, just because a few have had a problem somewere, does not mean you are.

Many of us have not had any trouble with the rotors. I've tried in the past to determine which model, engine, and transmission are in vehicles with the problems. You might try posting a poll to find out if it's just 2LTs with ABS, stick or automatic, etc.

Welcome. You'll love your HHR. I do!

I had the exact same thing on my new 07 HHR. Took it back the next day to have the rotors turned. No problems at all since. It stops great. Mine is a 2LT, 2.4L, Fall Edition, automatic for the record.
