Highway 101 in WA State

Went camping this last week. I was hesitant to take the HHR because the last 5 miles are down dirt roads. I stopped and picked up the fender guards on the way out of town but didn't put them on.

The HHR was fabulous on some very wet, twisty two lane roads and drove wel on the dirt also. But all I could think of was getting home and vacuuming out and detailing the Red Sled.

I managed to cram an air mattress, two backpacks, tents, blankets, cooler, axes, radios, sporting equipment, rain gear, tarps, and more into the HHR (with seats folded down). Poor girl's rear tires looked a tad unhappy - but she did her duty.

I may not ask her to do that again.....

Just make sure it's not more than dirt roads. We've got aluminum front control arms which are not conducive to rally racing. Someone on the forum a couple years ago broke their suspension doing something a little more hardcore

But I should talk I used to take my 81 Camaro w/ Wrangler truck tires camping in the Dunes at Anza Borrego Park and down into Mexico's Sierra San Pedro Matir National park
