Hit in the rear

Well I was stopped at a light person behind me jumped the gun and bumped my back barely made a dent since then my cars been barking and doing all strange things seems fuel related has the vehicle a safety thing where if you get rear-ended the fuel pump cut out or something ever since that little fender bender my vehicle runs horrible. Oh, it's a 2008 w/approx. 75 k on her

Sad you got dinged! Have a look and see if the battery and ground connection got dislodged from the impact.
I’m not aware of any fuel pump shut off when hit from behind. The fuel tank is up in front of the rear axle beam under the rear seats.

This is what happened to me; the tail pipe got hit and pushed the flex pipe past it's limit.
On another car I got rear ended and the vibration caused the MAF heater coil to break
Is there a CEL that you don't think is relevant?

Maybe you should do a basic familiarization of what things look like under the hood, so you could just open the hood and notice something is not right? I'm only suggesting look at it, maybe with the drawing from the Owner Manual in hand. Someday you will be able to check your oil level yourself.

Sorry, I come from a mechanically inclined planet and don't understand the concept of "hood, what's that? I know where the gas cap is." Even my wife can sense something looks different, sometimes. It really annoys me when the vacuum cleaner starts smoking and screaming and she just keeps going never noticing.

Remember; the handle of the butter knife is the hammer, the other end is the screw driver. (I think I found a new sig line)

That was my first thought. Also, the impact may have damaged the battery. Check the voltage. If it’s nice and high, get it load checked. Then reconnect it VERY carefully, by all accounts and by my experience, these cars HATE even a little bit low voltage.
