Jeff......

What's wrong with the paint in those pictures of the license area on your HHR. It looks dirty or "rough", or orange peel.??????

GAK! I knew I wouldn't get away with that around here. It was dirty, so I ran a wet paper towel over it, and it was still wet. Paint's fine. Picture setup/photographer stunk.

Checked my '08 and found the edge of the plate has worn through the clear coat. At my first oil change, I went to the dealership where I bought it. The sevice guy looked up a part number for the rubber bumpers. However he said they are not equipped from the factory and would cost me $7 each. WTF?? Guess Im not going back there.

Mine has the rattling issue, too. I had the plates back off today, as well as the liftgate inside panel (TRYING to find ANY access to run wiring from behind the bowtie to the inside of the liftgate...another issue) and wondered why the rubber bumpers on mine were so TINY. Now that I've seen your photo, Jeff, I understand why - the idiots installed mine BACKWARDS, from the INSIDE ! The larger part in INSIDE, the tiny "seating" nubbies are OUTSIDE !!! LMAO

Awsome...2 year old thread back from the dead.

......it's funny you found the nubs to be installed backwards but a pic would have been priceless.
