Today in Russia (and in many countries) a great holiday - International Women's Day.
On this day we give our women gifts, flowers and our love.
I do not know - Americans celebrate this day or not.
But I think - it's a wonderful tradition.
I therefore wish all the ladies - members of this forum.

It's ----"Mardi Gras Day" here in Mobile,Al. Too bad I'm working today.
(a little info: Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras,not New Orleans as most people believe.)

 

"Mardi Gras Day" - a very happy holiday. In Russia it is also celebrated, is called "Maslennitsa" (Shrovetide).
Only we do not have a parade. But we have the Peoples festivities. Attractions, entertainment, and sometimes fisticuffs.
This year, the same two Russian holiday in one day - International Women's Day and Maslennitsa.
Women's Day - 8 March. The Communists have organized it as a political propaganda party. Day for free women for their rights.
But the Russian people do not like politics. Therefore, people devote this day the woman as a Woman. As a mother, wife, mistress. Communists have long expelled, the festival has remained.
