How do I change out the ecm ?
I have a spare ecm for my 06 hhr 2.4l due to diagnosing a problem and had a reman put in. That was not the problem. I'm going to send my factory ecm off for a tune. Question is how to swap out the ecm when I get it back.Is it a plug and go thing?

I moved the thread since it is not a how-to.
If they retain the VIN information and the crankshaft calibration it is plug and play. Same as the reman was. You would probably be smart to have the crankshaft sensor recalibrated anyway, for the tune. Sometimes you need to reset the security system; when I put an reman ECM in mine it came with directions to reset the security but I didn't need to.
