[QUOTE=foolmoon_design;471345]125 in the HHR SS, no hazard lights. But in a 1990 Twin Turbo 300ZX, I hit a 152mph, and then saw blue lights. Thank-god I was from out of state. I was arrested at gunpoint! (really late for a wedding I was best man) Long story short my fine was $1.00 per MPH and no points assessed! To finish it off, got a 90mph police escort to the wedding after posting my fine. It took longer to get to the jail, then the amount of time I spent in jail! If your reading this thank-you Acworth, GA cops. It helped that me and a buddy were in Tux's.[/QUO

That is crazy. Thank god u made it to the wedding. haha

I had a friend who laughed when he heard I bought this 4 cylinder. He rode with me to a meeting in a town about 30 miles away. On the way back, I was behind a car that was driving 45 on a hilly winding road that had few passing zones. When we came to one, the vehicle speed up so I couldn't pass it. My friend was laughing. The next passing zone we came to, I floored it. This 2.4 sounds like it has exhaust cutouts when you run it wide open and it went from 45 to 85 pretty quick. My friend was noticeably impressed with this 4 cylinder. I haven't tried to see how fast it will go and I'm not too anxious to do any high speed running with the Firestone tires.

I've had a lot faster cars like a 78 Eldorado, a 69 Corvette and a 57 Chevrolet but they got half the mileage or less than the HHR.

Here's the fastest I've been, on a closed course and 2 wheels. I would never......cough......break the speed limit on public roads.

Currently my max speed is.... Zero still need to fix the timing.... I won't have any weight on the back end though, so I'm curious myself how peppy she will be with all the weight gone.

Driving back from NY to Florida I kept up with a Farrari driving down the road. After he passed me I kept on his tail for miles and he couldn't pull away from me.

Of course the highway was a two lane and the speed limit was 55 ad he just caught up the a long line of cars in front and there was no passing zones all the way.
